I’m heading to DC, wish me luck!

By Astrid Silva

As you read this I’ll be on a flight headed to Washington, DC to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee about the impact of the President’s executive action for immigration reform and the need to keep families together.

It’s been a crazy few weeks. From hearing the President of the United States tell my story before a national audience as he unveiled his plans to take action on immigration, to introducing him to a Las Vegas audience the following day. But despite the craziness, my focus remains the same: comprehensive immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship that keeps families together.

Here are the hearing details:

Keeping Families Together: The President’s Executive Action on Immigration and the Need to Pass Comprehensive Reform

Senate Judiciary – Full Committee

Wednesday December 10th

11:30AM PSTĀ

If you want to watch, I’m almost certain the hearing will be shown on CSPAN online and through your cable or satellite provider. You can also watch in the PLAN office in Reno (821 Riverside Drive, 89503) or Las Vegas (2330 Paseo Del Prado, C109, 89102).

When I testify tomorrow, I may be a little nervous, but I promise to do Nevada proud.
