Imagine a United States without Latinos. No Mexican, Venezuelan or Peruvian food.
No piñatas , no 5 de Mayo or Dia de Los Muertos. Imagine no one speaking Spanish or broken English. No one to take care of the farm work, mow your lawn, clean our homes, or babysit your children.
If there were no Latino students, the schools would be very empty. There would be no TV shows or great movies with Hispanics. No JLo or Spanish Shows, no casino workers, and no maids that clean the rooms in the hotels.
Now, close your eyes and imagine a country with great music, amazing food, and where all the Latinos show us to have a great community. Imagine great families where all have equal opportunities. Imagine No Racism, No Immigration Raids, and we all get along and enjoy each each other’s company. A time when we value all the contributions of the hispanic community.
We all have the same opportunities to learn and be happy. We all participate in the democracy and are able to lean from each other. We value that we are appreciated and that our values are appreciated, like our family values, friendship values, and community values.

Imagínese un Estados Unidos sin latinos. No hay comida mexicana, venezolana o peruana.
No hay piñatas, no 5 de Mayo o Dia de Los Muertos. Imagínese a nadie hablando español o inglés roto. Nadie que se ocupe del trabajo agrícola, corte el césped, limpie nuestras casas o cuide a sus hijos.
Si no hubiera estudiantes latinos, las escuelas estarían muy vacías. No habría programas de televisión ni grandes películas con hispanos.
No hay JLo o Shows en español, no hay trabajadores del casino y no hay mucamas que limpien las habitaciones de los hoteles.
Ahora, cierra los ojos e imagina un país con buena música, comida increíble y donde todos los latinos nos demuestran que tenemos una gran comunidad. Imagínese grandes familias donde todos tengan las mismas oportunidades. Imagínese sin racismo, sin redadas de inmigración, y todos nos llevamos bien y disfrutamos de la compañía de los demás. Un momento en el que valoramos todas las contribuciones de la comunidad hispana.
