My name is Laura Martin and I‘m the Executive Director of the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada. We have an opportunity before us to hold the police accountable for the violence and fear they inflict on Black communities, and communities of color. But make no mistake, AB3 is the bare minimum. It’s also worth noting that we must repeal in full Senate Bill 242, a misguided attempt to shield law enforcement from real accountability. Police reforms will not be meaningfully implemented without the repeal of SB242.Yes to AB3 now, and let’s commit to go further. Thank you, and Black Lives Matter.
